Fonfria to Samos
The day was supossed to be a wet and rainy one, but after the morning wind and rain going down the mountain, it cleared up with another rainbow and nice hiking weather to Samos. The woods were a welcome sight. Reminded me a lot of driving through Fairview and some parts, Pink Beds. Passed a building with a crushed Civic(?) on the second floor, with the building collapsed around it. Very interesting! Samos had a very large monestary, which appears off the trail and is somewhat surprising!

Samos to Vilei
A good hike day filled with good reflections of my journey so far. A beautiful hiking day, the sun was out for a good portion of the morning, and the temperature was perfect for hiking. Today we walked through Sarria, which is the town that 90% of all pilgrams start from. It was a busy place, and there was a noticable shift in how the camino is treated. Very touristy and sales-y, not like the previous month on the trail. Met Tom and Kim for dinner at the albergue, absolutely lovely folks!

Vilei to Gonzar
Crossed the 100k mark to Santiago today — a exciting plaque to pass! Hiked with Tom, Kim, and Jen. Very pretty landscapes, lots of rolling hills filled with dairy and beef cattle. Gonzar was a very small town – and most of the buildings were actually barns filled with cattle!
